Allwyn, an international lottery corporation, is collaborating with Future Frames, a Karlovy Vary International Film Festival initiative that champions up-and-coming filmmakers. This multi-year alliance will grant a Hollywood-caliber fellowship to one exceptional director per annum.
Founded in 1946, the Karlovy Vary Film Festival stands as one of the planet’s most venerable and esteemed cinematic celebrations. Established in 2015, Future Frames annually selects ten directors to present their creations. Allwyn’s backing will reach its pinnacle with a prize bestowed upon one of these filmmakers during the festival’s concluding ceremony.
The designated filmmaker will then commence a month-long mentorship experience in Los Angeles, furnishing them with invaluable counsel, industry exposure, and instruction.
Pavel Turek, Allwyn’s Chief Global Brand, Corporate Communication and CSR Officer, underscored the company’s devotion to enhancing lives beyond their lottery patrons, noting that this collaboration embodies their dedication to making a beneficial global influence.
Kristof Mucho, the big cheese at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, expressed great enthusiasm for this budding collaboration. He stated it presents a significant chance for emerging European directors to gain a foothold in the industry and elevate their cinematic craft.
