To reduce the spread of COVID-19, Crown Resorts is implementing a mandatory vaccination requirement across its properties.
After a period of consultations spanning a month, involving employees, labor groups, industry peers, and business associations, the Australian gaming company declared that full COVID-19 vaccination will be compulsory for all personnel and patrons at its venues in New South Wales and Victoria.
Effective immediately, this protocol is in place at Crown Sydney and Crown Melbourne, both currently operating under existing health authority directives. Crown Perth will adopt the policy by January 31, 2022, in accordance with the varying COVID-19 circumstances throughout Australia.
Crown Resorts Chief Executive Officer, Steve McCann, clarified, “Perth essentially exists in a COVID-free state, and the government’s approach continues to shift, hence our consultations there haven’t advanced as significantly. We need to finalize the strategy, but our objective is to maintain uniformity across all our resorts.”
He further stated, “We pledged to prioritize the health and well-being of our workforce, and this policy embodies that commitment. It also aligns with our duty to safeguard not only our staff but also our patrons, collaborators, and stakeholders.”
Crown first suggested mandatory vaccination for staff and patrons in September.
Upon McDonald’s revealing rewards for inoculated personnel, numerous individuals perceived it favorably.
Their collaborating proprietors were particularly enthusiastic, recognizing that promoting immunization held significance for both staff and the public. This signified a change in the comprehensive strategy towards the widespread illness in Australia, with an increasing realization that collective effort was essential.
The widespread illness has inflicted a severe toll on countless individuals, and for McDonald’s, utilizing their standing to contribute in any feasible manner became paramount.
